Changing the way
Safety is taught.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

How It Started
It was the fall of 2012 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I was in my second year as the Director of Safety for a large commercial construction company. From that day on, I became convinced that the old, boring, and often irrelevant paper toolbox talks were on their way out. I also knew that sending random internet videos wasn’t the professional image we wanted to convey for safety.

So, I began recording 3-minute weekly safety videos—and I haven’t stopped since. To be honest, my first ones were embarrassing. REALLY embarrassing! But I listened to feedback, learned, and kept producing.

That same model guides us today: listen to the needs of the field, and produce. It’s what led my team to develop the Video Toolbox Talks you see today, along with the microlearning courses we now offer—automatic, fun, short, relevant, and interactive videos with quick quizzes to document and verify training.

Thanks for all you do for safety—and we’ll see you out there!
